  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Former England international Carson moved to the Etihad Stadium in 2019. He originally joined on loan, before completing a permanent free transfer in the summer of 2021. The veteran shot-stopper was always aware that he would be filling a back-up role in Manchester.

    His only competitive outings for City came in a Premier League clash with Newcastle in May 2021 and a Champions League last-16 encounter with Sporting the following season. Carson has been a popular figure behind the scenes throughout his time with the Cityzens.
