According to the, there has been no contact between Leeds and Milan but Okafor impressed club officials when the two teams played each other in a friendly in Dublin last week. As per , Milan have turned down Bologna’s offer of €15m (£10m/$18m) for Okafor, setting their asking price at up to €20m (£17m/$23m).

Milan signed Okafor for €13m (£11m/$15m) from RB Salzburg in 2023, but the Swiss forward was unable to break into the starting XI ahead of Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao. In January 2025, German club RB Leipzig moved to sign him, but a failed medical saw the transfer collapse. He was then loaned to Napoli as a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, but after failing to impress there as well, he returned to San Siro.
